Fill the frame

So, Dan and Alea both have really cool cameras and they are doing different assignments with their photos. Dan invited me and my Sony(never buy a Sony camera) point and shoot camera along. My pictures will not be anything like theirs, but at least I will learn some stuff about photography. Here is my first attempt....

Fedor vs. Arvloski

So, I don't know how I got interested in mixed martial arts. Well, actually I do. It is probably because Connor is obsessed with it. It is really not the type of thing I would normally like, but I am inspired by Fedor Emelianko. He is a Russian fighter. He is undefeated 29-0. He is a multimillionaire who lives in the same little town he grew up in. He is so humble and such a good person. Part of his daily training is playing chess and reading. He is smart. He finds his opponents weaknesses and gets them everytime. Last night he fought Arvloski and knocked him out in about 3 minutes. He is not really well known in the US, but I'm sure he will be pretty soon. They say he will go down in history as the greatest mixed martial artist who ever lived!

Oregon pictures

On the way to Scio you drive through the cutest town called "sisters". I love this place so much I would move there! This picture does not do it justice. You have to see it for yourself!
Mimi and Bronwen at the beach.

The coast was awesome! I had never been there before. I was so excited to finally see it! It was way too cold to even get your feet wet, but it was worth the trip just to see it.
Here is one of the covered bridges in Scio where we stayed. It is a really beautiful place.

We spent the day in Portland. Connor's cousin showed us around. It was a lot of fun. We explored the "pearl" it is called that because it is the best part of Portland. It was a blast! For some reason we thought it was going to be warmer than it was so we all froze.

Update

So, I have been the worst blogger ever, but my life has slowed down a little and I have more time to update it. The month of December was very busy. It started with Bronwen's birthday, then finals, then Christmas, New year's, and Eva's birthday. So, we are finally settling down. Oh yeah, and we took a trip to Oregon and just got back yesterday. We are excited for the new year. Here are some pictures from our trip.
